CIBS (Check-In Baggage Scale)

The PRECIA-MOLEN check-in baggage scale, type CIBS, has been developed to suit today's and tomorrow's requirements for baggage handling in airport departure lounges. The main function of the CIBS is to weigh each piece of baggage to be checked-in, to count the number of pieces and to totalise the weight of all passenger's pieces of baggage. Basically, the CIBS consists of a scale frame which can be configured with either a platform (CIBS-P, platform scale version) or with a belt conveyor (CIBS-C, conveyor scale version). Additionally a feeder conveyor can be supplied as an intermediate unit between the conveyor scale and the collector conveyor (CIBS-F). The standard CIBS instrumentation consists of a passenger display unit, a desk operator display & control unit and a black box.

All units are designed so that they can readily be integrated within the check-in desk configuration.
The CIBS capacities, sizes, finish and applications can be customised either to suit existing installations or specific project requirements.
The check-in baggage scale exceeds the OIML recommendations and has been certified by a Notified Body to comply with the European Standards for non automatic weighing instruments with a CE type approval.
